about

"**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:**

(pssst...it’s a fantasy…)

We’ve got to hand it to you teenagers!

You sure know how to pick your rock ‘n roll!

'shy-CITY' is an epic, apocalyptic trilogy--a detailed diagram of the inner workings of this machine as explored by those who could never see inside. A story of the blind leading the bound leading the bland leading the brilliant.

'VOL. 2: pillar,' is the detachment from when/then--an experiment in mindfulness; an exploration of what is.

Since the reemergence of recording technologies over the last 20 or so years, audiophiles have been clamoring for previously unheard tracks from these and other millennial indy idols. Baby Money’s popularity was cut short by the Great Collapse and only with today’s resurgence of analog technologies are we able to duplicate and distribute tracks that had originally been slated to drop shortly before the start of the alt-right reign. Thanks to the UNderground and counter-cultural institutions like [Analog\\Reddit] and Midwest AXN, we’ve been able to preserve and revisit our favorite voices from the Resistance Party (RP), even though those voices were lost to us just a few short decades ago.

The original 4 tracks of Baby Money’s surfy and surreal, ‘shy-CITY’ VOL.1 (released 1/2016), was recorded in Pilsen, Chicago, IL with help from another lost idol of RP activism, the Bribes. Her tunes were inspired by vintage soul and gospel, and were blended with a whiskey-drunk, gritty, western flair. The three volume album was intended for release in serial, over the course of one year’s time, but when our political stability collapsed and cyber censorship shut down the music industry as we know it, the final two volumes were shelved and forgotten. These 2 volumes are edgier than the first, and we believe they were likely recorded at a slightly later time, possibly even post-collapse. They are reproduced here as a matching set thanks to recording engineer and producer Brad Althaus, of Gunhed Studios, along with activists at Midwest AXN.

This is the basic twist.
Many variations are possible."

about

Baby Money Chicago, Illinois

Baby Money (aka Pamela Maurer) was born in the Rust Belt before it rusted over, behind the mirror and in the belly of a great beast – a wild west futuristic Wednesday Addams, a Firestarter. She speaks languages, plays instruments, carries cash, and is very excited for this moment. And also this one. Baby Money loves your face. ... more
